Taiwan based KC Design Studio created a project entitled “Tsao residence – room partitions” and including of an innovative and very functional apartment remodel. The studio featured the inspiration of applying rotaty partitions to partition four rooms into one open-plan area. A moving screen (also acting as a TV support) pivots to either incorporate or partition the living room and kitchen, while a second panel (the exquisite bookshelf) is placed between the bedroom and study. Both partitions provide sharp edges, creating them actually attractive to watch from specific corners. The effect is a multipurpose living room, which can be re-formed according to the necessary of the inhabitants. It’s hard not to be amazed by the whole design of this recently remodeled Taipei apartment, featuring minimalism and genuineness. With a homely black and white color pallet, the space comes with a touch of charm, improved by the use of dark timber flooring.
